Yes, extremely. Stick Figures are constructed from naturally created driftwood that was shaped by surviving a raging river, pounding surf and a rugged beach, so no two pieces or sculptures will be the same—not even close.

Yes, each Stick Figure is ‘branded’ with a medallion, signed, and numbered before leaving the studio.

Each stick figure is constructed out of a maximum of 3 pieces of reclaimed driftwood (plus a base or stand if required). The pieces are held together with a few screws or pins. Prior to assembling a Stick Figure, each piece of driftwood is washed, scrubbed, treated, and has loose bark and extraneous limbs removed. None of the pieces are carved, they are ‘as found’. However, occasionally some oil paint may be applied, but only to camouflage areas that have been scarred by the removal of limbs so-as-to not distract your eye.

Each stick figure will be shipped according to the guidelines outlined by SaatchiArt.com. Note that some minor assembly may be required once the shipment is received (eg Putting the sculpture on its base).

Stick Figures are made of reclaimed driftwood. Although they have been cleaned and treated, they may shed sand or bark occasionally as the wood expands and contracts due to moisture and heat, and/or when they experience vibrations. Wipe or vacuum any accumulated debris at its base. Stick figures are left in their natural colors (ie not oiled). Like all art, they should not be placed in direct sunlight, or in wet locations, as this may expedite further fading and deterioration. Stick Figures can be sprayed with warm water, scrubbed with a soft brush, or dusted carefully.
